Dr. Ryan Marcello was born and raised in the Upstate. He played football for Wofford College where he received a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry. He then graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. After attending a hospital based residency at the Miami Valley Veteran Affairs Hospital in Ohio, focused on head and neck cancer treatment, and becoming qualified to practice IV Sedation sleep dentistry, studying under the renowned Dental Anesthesiologist, Dr. Daniel Becker, he returned to Greenville and established Parkway Dentistry in Greer in 2001. As a result of so many patients coming to see him from the Anderson and Tri-County area, he acquired a satellite office in Anderson in 2005 which has made it easier for patients to receive his care in that region as well. Because of his IV sedation training, he is one of the most sought after dentists in SC and neighboring states, and is only one of a few in the nation who practices comprehensive dentistry in one appointment. Because of his quick success he changed the practice name to Royal Crest Centre for Advanced Dentistry® in 2007 and would like to teach his methods to other dentists in the future.
Dr. Marcello has acquired over 600 hours of continuing education and continued his post graduate studies most recently achieving his diploma from the Medical College of Georgia in Implant Dentistry.
